Members of the Australian superyacht industry will gather on Tahitian shores for a day of networking in late June.
Superyachts arriving in the South Pacific are excited by Australia’s 4th annual Australian networking event to be held at Marina Taina in Tahiti on Friday 24th June.
Invitations to the event are extended to all superyacht captains, owners and crew who will be in the South Pacific over this period.
The opportunity to network and promote Australia’s unique surroundings has attracted a high level of Australian industry support with a strong contingent of the Australian superyacht sector traveling to Tahiti once again to showcase their capability at the event.
Tahiti is seen as a gateway into the South Pacific and is a unique cruising destination for the global superyacht fleet. A noticeable trend for the vessels cruising or chartering in this area is to head to Australia for their routine maintenance and refit requirements. With Australia’s reputation of quality work second to none, meeting budgets and delivering on time, the Australian superyacht industry is continuing to notice an increase in vessels arriving from Tahiti.
This event is an excellent way to ensure the superyachts in Tahiti are fully informed about Australia and the region's excellent cruising grounds, iconic events and high quality facilities.
Given the recent positive changes to Australia’s charter regulations, superyacht agents are already fielding more enquiries for vessels to visit Australia and a number of these are coming from the Asia Pacific region where yachts are already cruising and chartering.
All activities will be held on the Marina Taina on Friday 24th June. The day will commence with Information Sessions followed by the inaugural VIP Captains and Chief Engineers networking lunch. This lunch has been introduced to give captains, chief engineers and owners the opportunity to liaise directly with key players from the Australian superyacht industry for an update on everything they need to know in regards to cruising in Australia.
Later in the afternoon will see the fourth addition of the Crew Barbeque Competition and the day will conclude with the Australian industry hosting an Australian themed marina party.
Australian companies participating in the event are the Australian International Marine Export Group (AIMEX), Abell Point Marina, AWL Grip, Boat Style, BSE Maritime Solutions, Gold Coast City Marina and Shipyard, Penske Power Systems (MTU Detroit Diesel), Multi award winning repair/refit company Rivergate Marina and Shipyard, Superyacht Solutions and The Super Yacht Group Great Barrier Reef. A broad cross section of the Australian superyacht industry will be present.
