Boat Style Flies The Kite at Hamilton Island Race Week

Boat Style's floating showroom, Sirocco, has just competed in the Cruising Class Division of the Audi Hamilton Island Race Week. Like other heavier cruisers the Beneteau Oceanis 50 found the light wind conditions challenging, finishing 13th out 30.

A fantastic week of all things nautical but nice.

Great Off Water Highlights such as the Moet & Chandon Lunch, fashion parades by Collette Dinnigan & Henri Lloyd and chef dinners with Matt Moran of Aria & Shannon Bennett of Vue du Monde.

Over 201 yachts and 3000 crew descended on the tropical island for the event. All were treated to the great spectacle of 3 superyachts and their enormous spinnakers, with the 191ft fast cruising sloop, Kokomo beating Perseus and Wild Oats XI.

Stephen Ainsworth's Loki broke hearts by taking the IRC Championship. The Reichel/Pugh 63 skippered by Irishman, Gordon Maguire beat Aroona by just .31 of a point.
